Nothing in Renfrew County advertises an interlock-equipped car. Pembroke DriveTest is at 513 Eganville Road, and Renfrew opens two days a week from November.

It is a part-time location, opening roughly two days a week from November. Slots are few and they go quickly, so a date there is worth taking when offered.
The standard G, not the modified one
Part-time Travel Points still run the full G test format. Full-time centres are currently running a modified version. Practise for the test you are actually sitting.
The part-time centres still do the whole G test
This is the Valley’s quiet advantage and disadvantage at once. A G test at a Travel Point location includes parallel parking, roadside stops and a three-point turn, which the modified format at full-time centres currently drops. Do not prepare from a page written about Ottawa.

How the day runs
Test morning, from Pembroke and the Ottawa Valley
Up the 17 to 513 Eganville Road, or to Renfrew if that is where your date came up. Either is a long way for one car, so we plan the day around your slot and arrive an hour ahead of it.
Prepare for the test you are actually sitting. A G at a part-time Travel Point still includes parallel parking, roadside stops and a three-point turn — the manoeuvres the full-time Ottawa centres have currently dropped from their modified format. If your date is at Renfrew, we spend the practice hour on those specifically.
The car itself is the same everywhere: certified interlock, insured for a road test, unmarked, automatic, fresh mouthpiece. The full specification is on the road-test car page.
You might not need a road test at all
Before you book anything from Pembroke and the Ottawa Valley, check how long your licence was invalid. It is the only thing that decides whether a road test is required at all, and we would rather tell you now than take a booking you do not need.
- 1–3 yrs
- Eye test only — no road test. A first conviction carries a minimum one-year suspension, so most first-time drivers land here.
- 3–10 yrs
- Knowledge test, eye test and two road tests, with no mandatory waiting between them. This is who we are for.
- 10+ yrs
- You reapply as a new driver and serve every graduated licensing waiting period. No fast-tracking.

Can I get an interlock road-test car in Pembroke?
Not from a local school, as far as we could establish on 6 September 2026. We travel to Pembroke and Renfrew by arrangement, and it is best planned as one trip with the training hours attached.
Is the G test different at Renfrew?
